October 8 - 11 = Filiapos;s in Nashville
Day 1
We arrived. And nothing more.
Day 2
It was pretty nice. The first place we went was the science museum/planetarium. The science museum part was cute. Not as good as the Louisville Science Center, but fair enough. The planetarium however was magnificent. I sat in the seat, which was set at an angle and I was like "What the hell?" But it then occured to me that weapos;d be looking up. A convenience of the seat. It was so beautiful. When I was little (and quite into astronomy) I said that I wanted to see a super nova before I died... With the planetarium, I got to experience one. When the program was over, I decided that I had to rent one out and watchStar Wars.
Day 3
My Aunt Dorthy and cousin Greg came to visit. They joined us for breakfast. That day we were going to the zoo. Olivia had asked and when we said where, she jumped a foot off the floor and squealed "THE ZOO" That was a good one, went on the rest of the day. The zoo was actually kind of small. Not at all like the Louisville zoo... And of course Iapos;m comparing. But there wasnapos;t a lot to see. I think the best part was the bamboo trail. There wasnapos;t any pandas, but lots of bamboo. There was a sign that said Imagine your next adventure in The Bamboo Trail. I read it then said, "My next adventure: ninjas jump from the bamboo and I kick some ass" Then, at the end of the day, we reached the place where Olivia had been dying to get all day: the giraffes. I donapos;t know why, but she suddenly likes giraffes.
Before we wenthome, we stopped by the mall. ITapos;S HUGE Mom said it was like 3 miles of mall. There were a couple of stores that I went berserk in. And there was one store that just reminded me of George. Itgot crazy because Olivia and Laureen (the three of us had split from the parentals) were getting restless because they were hungry. Luckily, I was promised a nice present for behaving in all this madness.
Day 4
Aunt Dorthy and Greg had spent the night. This was the day we were leaving, so we saved the best place for last. We went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast (where I swiped these sweet bottles of syrup) then headed on to Belle Mead. It was a plantation home, one of the more famous ones. We roamed the grounds until our tour. The house was beautiful. I had decided this a long time, but I made it known to everyone that I was going to build myself a plantation-style house and live in it. After our tour, we parted ways with Dorthy and Greg and made our way home.
I liked it. I finally got to know Greg. Heapos;s a year or two older than me, but I have absolutly no memory of him from the two possible times we couldapos;ve met. I remember his sister, Nicole, but not him. We had a lot in common. I was anxious at first but as soon as we got a conversation going, I was fine.
Everything was wonderful, until we came home and had school... Of course school ruins things.
